Comments(24)Kino kompanija „Warner Bros” Richardo Mathesono romano „Aš esu legenda” ekranizacijos teises įsigijo dar 7-ajame dešimtmetyje. 1964-aisiais pagal šį romaną buvo pastatytas filmas „Paskutinis žmogus Žemėje”, o 1971-aisiais susukta juosta „Omega žmogus”.
„Warner Bros” grįžo prie idėjos nufilmuoti modernią „Aš esu legenda” filmo versiją. Šiam projektui režisuoti buvo paskirtas Ridley Scottas, o pagrindinį vaidmenį turėjo atlikti Arnoldas Schwarzeneggeris, bet, dar planavimo stadijoje paaiškėjo, jog projekto biudžetas bus per didelis. 2002-aisiais buvo dar kartą prisimintas tas projektas, į režisieriaus kėdę sėdinamas Michaelas Bay, o pagrindiniam vaidmeniui įkalbėtas Willas Smithas. Bet, iš šio projekto išėjo „Pašėlę vyrukai” antroji dalis.
Pasitraukus Michaelui Bay režisieriumi buvo kalbinamas būti Guilermo Del Toro, bet paskutinę minutę buvo pasirinktas „pigesnis” režisierius Francis Lawrence sukūręs nemažai vaizdo klipo bei fantastinį filmą su Keanu Reevesu „Konstantinas”.
2006 m. pradėtas įgyvendinti projektas kainavo apie 150 milijonų JAV dolerių, nepaisant to, jog du trečdalius filmo vaidina tik vienas aktorius. Prodiuseriai natūraliai sutaupė įprastus honorarus ilgam aktorių sąrašui, bet pačiai filmo žvaigždei teko atseikėti virš 30 mln. JAV dolerių – Willas Smithas yra vienas geriausiai apmokamų aktorių Holivude.
Nemažai kainavo įspūdingų scenų filmavimas – tam teko uždarinėti Niujorko gatves ir prieplaukas. Kalbama, jog projektui įgyvendinti teko sulaukti keliolikos vyriausybinių organizacijų pritarimo ir išleisti kelis milijonus dolerių vien organizaciniams darbams. Willui Smithui teko atsiprašinėti premjeros metu vietos gyventojų už sutrikdytą miesto gyvenimą – vien scenų prie Bruklino tilto filmavimas užtruko šešias naktis.
Gautas rezultatas, iš ties įspūdingas – daugelis efektų kurti kompiuteriu, bet apleisto miesto gatvės atrodo įspūdingai. „Aš esu legenda” sulaukė Specialiųjų Efektų kūrėjų asociacijos apdovanojimų nominacijų – tame tarpe už geriausią sukurtą aplinką, geriausiai animuotą personažą (zombius).
Išleistas 2007-ųjų pabaigoje, „Aš esu legenda” šiek tiek pasirodė nelaiku – jis lyginamas su Danny Boyle filmais „28 dienos po” ir 28 savaitės po” – juose taip pat pasakojama apie išmirti baigiantį miestą ir zombius.
Willo Smitho vaidyba – stipri. Ekrane rodosi tik vienas herojus su šunimi, bet vaizdas nė vienai minutei netampa nuobodus. Įspūdinga filmo aplinka ir įtampa puikiai dera prie pagrindinio aktoriaus vaidybos.
Be jokios abejonės, 150 mln. JAV dolerių kainavęs filmas yra skirtas masiniam žiūrovui, todėl spragėsinio kino efektas jaučiamas viso filmo metu. Be to, filmas šiek tiek nukenčia nuo kelių loginių klaidų ir iškeltų klausimų, į kuriuos atsakymų nesivarginama pateikti.
Visgi, „Aš esu legenda” yra vienas stipresnių šių metų komercinių filmų ir vienas geresnių Willo Smitho pasirodymų.
